The amalgamation of Ellington and Hereson - two of the area’s most respected and best loved schools – has turned the clock full circle to when they shared a site in Ramsgate in the early 1900s.

Since September 2009 they have been together again at the recently- developed £10million state of the art complex at Newlands Way Ramsgate, with a multi-million expansion project earmarked to further expand our first class campus.

Head teacher Tony Hamson said: “In common with many people in Thanet, I have a deep affection for both schools, their history, their place in local education, and the genuine commitment they share for the pupils in their care.

“The professional, experienced and supportive staff provide the best learning opportunities for all our students through an innovative and challenging curriculum.”

The area’s only Trust school, we work with businesses and other community partners  to improve opportunities for our students.

We have high expectations, outstanding resources and acclaimed pastoral care - we offer the best all-round learning experience for children of all abilities in single sex classes.

A Humanities Specialist School, our special focus is on English, History and Drama. Academically we continue to thrive - traditional core subjects are the backbone of our curriculum, with opportunities for a range of other subjects and extended studies, including Dance, Photography, Sports and Public Services, plus enrichment activities including trips and visits.

Our students develop educational and life skills to help them move into sixth form education, university, training and employment.
